Most bad dancing is dancing that is too fast for the dancer’s current skill level.

To move faster, we need to intensify the arch with continuous muscle contraction, but not a very hard contraction which will prevent us from moving quickly. We need to decrease the amount of force, so that we don’t need very strong contractions to manage it.

After speeding up, the challenge is to slow down again. The deceleration happens at the beginning of a step, using the control system of the old base leg’s transfer (not with embrace tension at the end of the step)

Do not try to Mark fast by going up. Up indicates an upward projection, or an attempt to stop, and at the very least is confusing, rather than accelerating.

Revels like to go fast, and must therefore pay very close attention to the inevitable deceleration, so as not to continue on their own.
