Improvisation is not about memorization.
It's trusting our mutual knowledge of a system.
In 2013, TangoForge began developing the very first comprehensive encyclopedia of tango movements and variations. Our KnowledgeBase empowers students to learn at their own pace and to their own taste.
• Discover the variations for each
of the 25 distinct tango movements.
• Five biomechanical tools provide
distilled and consistent technical specifications.

Every teacher will tell you that both solo and partnered Private Practice is essential to improvement. Most dancers don't practice because they don't have a structure. The KnowledgeBase is one of our tools to support effective practice.

Regardless of which "style" of tango you prefer, all Argentine Tango relies on the same skills of body control for connection and communication. We have studied the correct anatomy and biomechanics to be able to give direct and clear instructions in objective scientific terminology.

The KnowledgeBase is a supplement to your ongoing group classes, providing total information access now. There are more than 150 entries, covering the 25 movements of the Tango Lexicon and their variations and pseudonyms, as well as distillation of technique terminology.

Be ready for everything your partner can do.
